I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
